Interferential Therapy
Interferential therapy is a therapeutic treatment to aid in the relief of pain and promotion of soft tissue healing.
Small amounts of electrical impulses are induced into the tissues in the area of injury. This low frequency stimulation prompts the body to secrete endorphins and other natural pain killers to help relieve pain and reduce swelling of soft tissues. It also helps reduce muscle atrophy and increase blood circulation.
